Hello. I’m Tamara. I’m a kindergarten teacher, and I work with toys and space.
I work with kindergarten teachers who sense that something in their classroom is “off” — even if they can’t immediately name what it is.
Through my own teaching practice, I’ve learned how deeply the physical environment influences not only children’s play, but also teachers’ daily work, confidence, and wellbeing.
I have always been drawn to toys and to space — how materials are placed, how rooms feel, and how small changes can shift the way we move, think, and interact.
Becoming a kindergarten teacher brought these interests together in practice. Working daily in classrooms with children taught me that toys and space are never neutral — they either support teaching or quietly work against it.
In 2010, I began making simple toys together with my father, responding directly to the needs of my own group of children. These were not products, but tools for teaching. Over time, colleagues asked for similar support in their own classrooms — and True Toys grew from there.
Today, True Toys focuses on the intentional arrangement of kindergarten classrooms.
I help teachers look at their space differently — understanding how furniture, storage, and toys can be arranged to support pedagogy, reduce unnecessary effort, and create calmer, more functional learning environments.
My guidance is grounded in:
And always shaped by real teaching experience.
Why this matters? – I believe that when a classroom is thoughtfully arranged, teachers can step into their work with greater calm and confidence — and children benefit from spaces that truly support their development.
This is not about perfection or trends.
It is about intention.
If you’d like to explore how intentional arrangement of space and toys can support your teaching, I’d be glad to hear from you.
I regularly share thoughts on toys, space, and kindergarten teaching from my everyday work.
